GROUP FITNESS CLASS DESCRIPTIONS

BRAND NEW:  PILOXING uniquely mixes Pilates and boxing moves into a fat torching, muscle sculpting, core-centric interval workout, guaranteed to whip you into shape, using a class format that’s both fun and challenging.

BODYPUMP:  Hailed as the fastest way in the universe to get in shape, Pump is a strength endurance class where muscle and music collide. Expertly choreographed, Pump is a barbell workout, which targets the major muscle groups of the body in the shortest amount of time. This 60-minute class involves squats, chest, back, triceps, biceps, lunges, shoulders and abs. It's truly body changing!

TURBOKICK:  The most fun you'll ever have punching and kicking your way to better cardiovascular fitness! TurboKick is a pre-choreographed kickboxing program derived from a variety of disciplines that will push your fat-burning potential into high gear while improving muscle coordination and agility. Set to a killer soundtrack, TK will motivate and inspire you to increased strength and confidence. Watch out for the Turbo section!

 

SPINNING:  The Spinning program is the original and most popular group cycling class. And it’s not just because Spinning is an unmatched way to make your fitness goals a reality. With no complicated moves to learn, top-notch instructors and music that begs your legs to pedal, getting into the best shape of your life has never been more fun.

Strength & Stretch:  Strength & Stretch class is a most excellent way to get comprehensive stretching and strengthening gains using resistance bands and hand held weights.  From head to toe you will stretch and subtly strengthen all major and lesser muscle groups.  This class focuses on functionally training your body to perform daily activities of living as well as enhancing performance in other activities.

    

ZUMBA:  Inspired by traditional cumbia, salsa, samba and meringue music, Zumba pairs pulsating Latin rhythms with the red-hot international dance steps.  Zumba literally means “to move fast and have fun!”

 

CARDIO COMBOS:  This program is an easy-to-learn cardiovascular program for all fitness levels.  Cardio Combos begins with a warm-up and range of motion work, which transitions into a combination of cardiovascular exercise combos.  Each program transitions into static stretching followed by floor core work and a final cool down & stretching. 

 

GROUP STRENGTH:  This program is very much like Bodypump.   It not only provides muscular condition to participants, but educates participants on proper execution.  Here is the breakdown:

 

5-8 min Warmup:

Conditioning (approximately 4-5 min per muscle group)

Squats

Chest Press/ Triceps

Back

Lunges

Shoulders

Biceps

Adductor/abductor

Abdominals

Final cooldown.

KUNDALINI YOGA: The history of Yoga goes back 5000 years to India.  Kundalini Yoga is called the "Mother of All Yogas" because it is the original system to which present day systems owe their ancestry.  It is believed tht there is a cosmic energy that lies within each of us.  Kundalini Yoga combines breathing exercises, meditation, mantras, and a series of postures that travel up through the practitioner's spine to create an energy flow through the body.
